US AIRBORNE DIVISION, CAMOUFLAUGE M2 HELMET SET. 551st PIB (Parachute Infantry Battalion.)
HELMET: WWII Front Seam D-bale shell. M2 chinstraps with solid brass hardware. The Camo pattern as used by the US Airborne 551st PIB was hand painted & aged to look like a "Combat Worn" helmet. Steel pot is in good but used condition. Heat stamp is: 891C 💥💥The interior paint, minus where the new bales are is all original, authentic along with the names/letters painted on the inside... I did NOT do that.💥💥

The 551st, 509th & 517th PRCT were all firm believers in camouflage for helmets, gear & uniforms. (See the original pictures attached.)
LINER: This is a replica Saint Clair liner and has been built as an Airborne model. Jmurrayinc HBT & Rayon webbing, parkerized steel A-washers, nape strap, tie-string, rayon sweatband, A-yokes w/wire buckles & a fixed liner chinstrap plus leather chincup are highly detailed/aged repro's. The 2" netting is included! Has matching 551st Palm tree insignias painted on.
