HELMET: WWII McCord Front-Seam converted into a M2 Dbale shell. Proper M2 chinstraps with nickel snaps & brass hardware. The 509th PIB (Parachute Infantry Battalion), Camo Pattern & Surgical tape that represents "Company B." were hand painted by Me then aged & weathered for a "Combat Worn" appearance. Heat stamp is: 986F

Unlike the 101st & 17th Airborne Divisions, the 509th PIB used Camouflage on their helmets in many different variations, from Green & Black combos, Vesicant gas detecting paint, spraying over a net, etc.
