Throughout the course of the War the M2 Dbale shell was always in short supply or constantly breaking, the standard issue M1 Fixed bale was a constant & easy to acquire replacement. By the time of Operation Market Garden, the M1 fixed bale was widely being paired up with Paratrooper liners and issued to Troopers, there are scores of B&W pictures to back this up.

HELMET: WWII Front Seam Fixed bale shell. M1 chinstraps with brass hardware. The 506th PIR 2nd Battalion & NCO insignias were hand painted (BY ME) then aged & weathered to look like a "Combat Worn" helmet. Heat stamp is: 44C 1 (Super early production number)

LINER: This Westinghouse liner that has been restored as an Airborne model. HBT webbing & nape strap. Brass A-washers, OD#7 A-yokes w/cast buckles, sweatband, liner strap & 5-Hole cotton chincup. The Drawstring helmet net is included.
