WWII M2 D-bale 101st Airborne 506th PIR 1st Bn. NCO Westinghouse Paratrooper Liner. Net & Scrim.
ORIGINAL/Authentic U.S.G.I. Webbing was used for the chinstraps & A-yokes, Not repro.
HELMET: WWII Front Seam D-bale shell. M2 chinstraps with brass/steel hardware. The 506th PIR 1st Battalion & NCO insignias were hand painted (BY ME) then aged & weathered to look like a "Combat Worn" helmet. Steel pot is in used condition; this shell was abused before I restored it... PLEASE see all pics. Heat stamp is: 881F.
***The D-bales are properly spot welded & made from RAW STEEL... not stainless steel.***
LINER: This is a WWII Era Westinghouse liner that has been restored as an Airborne model. HBT webbing & nape strap. OD#7 A-yokes w/cast buckles, sweatband, liner strap & chamois lined leather chincup. The Drawstring helmet net & burlap scrim are also aged/weathered. ***The Liners OD green paint is original, see pics as there is a wartime repair made to the rear... NOT by me.
