HELMET: WWII McCord Front Seam fixed bale. New texture & OD Paint. Aged M-1 chinstraps with solid brass hardware & cast brass buckle were assembled By Me, then aged & weathered to look like a "Combat Worn" helmet. ***The new fixed bales were properly spot welded on, just like the originals were. *** The heat stamp is an early one: 232A
The Painted burlap & netting cover is pretty much permanently on there, I would not recommend trying to remove it. This type of cover was used before official Marine Camo Covers could be produced & issued. Not intended for Reenacting, just for display.
HELMET LINER: "RARE" & Original WWII SEAMAN PAPER CO. helmet Liner. The OD paint, Webbing, sweatband & nape strap are all original parts. Only the liner chinstrap is a premium aged/weathered repro that was built with original WWII hardware (Cam Buckle & Triangle loops).
