M2 D-bale 101st Airborne 506th 2nd Bn. PIR Helmet LT. Front Seam Paratrooper Liner. Front Seam.
HELMET: WWII Front Seam D-bale shell. M2 chinstraps with early war cast buckle. The 506th 2nd Bn. insignias were hand painted (BY ME) then aged & weathered to look like a "Combat Worn" helmet. Steel pot is in used but good condition. Heat Stamp is: 76B
The inside paint & the "LT. MURPHY" are original to the helmet, I did NOT apply that.
***The D-bales are made from "Raw" steel & properly spot welded. ***
LINER: This is a Westinghouse liner has been restored as an Airborne model. HBT webbing, steel A-washers & nape strap. The A-yokes w/wire buckles, sweatband, liner strap & chamois lined leather chincup are top-notch aged repro's. The Drawstring helmet net & scrim are included! The liner has a new coat of WWII shade OD Green paint.
